EXTRA GENEROUS IN WIDTH AND VOLUME

Throughout our history, our philosophy has been to make good, comfortable shoes with a high level of craftsmanship, top-quality materials and based on anatomically shaped lasts: Extra width and volume fitting shoes.

For custom-made footwear, we work with three concepts: standard lasts, adjustable standard lasts, and orthopaedic lasts.

Alina

Alina is a classic and proven last with rich volume and a good fit. It has a feminine design with a slight elevation on heel height, but very suited for footwear with high comfort demands.

Anita

The toe box of the Anita last is one of the most voluminous in the Klaveness collection. This makes it very suitable for comfortable moccasins. The Anita last is a bit more moderate in regards to volume, but the moccasin construction gives flexibility and is suitable for a diversity of feet.

BBACK

BBACK is one of our collaboration partners. The last is an M last and has a reasonably high toe spring and low heel height, which provides a good rocker effect.

Didrik

Didrik last is a distinctive, pleasant, anatomic developed shape, exactly as Lisa and Thea. This men's last is optimal for Nordic feet that are usually a bit wider and voluminous than what is typical for southern European countries.

Footform

Footform is a unisex last used for sandals for both men and women. Ideal for patients who require a wide and functional last. Suitable for diabetics and rheumatics. The last has a wide foot formed toe part and a narrow heel. The lasts belongs to the same "family" as New Rehab which is more spacious. Compared to New Rehab, the difference in ball circumference is 20 mm, and 10 mm volume/depth. The Footform last is a K width.

Fotform

The Fotform last is similar to our Naturform last but has a bit more toe spring and heel height.

Free

Free is an actual foot formed last, and confers extra space for the toes to move freely. It's fit in the instep and ankle areas is suited for standard feet. Free is designed with extra-depth to accommodate insoles adequately. The heel height and toe spring are moderate.

Free Wide

Free Wide is a unisex last in N width; It is 7mm wider than Free Standard in the forefoot, and the heel has the same width as Free Standard. Klaveness uses this last for sneakers and trekking shoes; the heel height is approx. 10 mm and toespring 15 mm, which provides a good rocker effect.

Frida

The Frida last has been part of our collection for the longest. It is significantly different than, for example, the Lisa last in the toe box area. Frida has a more oval toe shape, which gives a different expression than our most anatomic developed last, Lisa.

Fry

Fry is an actual foot formed last, and confers extra space for the toes to move freely. It's fit in the instep and ankle areas is suited for standard feet.

Hiker

Hiker is one of our popular children's last for shoes and boots. Hiker has extra depth for foot orthotics and good grip for the heel. This last is spacious and comfortable. Hiker last also manages to maintain a good and normal design. The Hiker last is a J width. Hiker last matches to Hiker Orthotic last.

Hiker Orthotic

The Hiker Orthotics last is an orthotic version of normal Hiker last and is used for making shoes and boots. The last is similar to the standard Hiker, however, the short heel and the instep have been increased to have the room for orthotics. The heel and bottom shape is also straighter on this last. Hiker Orthotic is an L width last.

Ingvild

Ingvild last was specifically developed for our boot range. It was created by our former designer Ingvild, who set the standards that are still used in our boot collections.

Jo is a men's last used for sandals, shoes and boots. Slightly foot formed, spacious toe part and narrow heel make this last modern and popular. Jo has extra depth for foot orthotics compared to most of the MSS lasts. Jo last is an N width.

Julia

The Julia last is used for women's treatment shoes and sandals in our Rehabilitation collection. Julia is developed from the Lisa Extra last and offers 5mm more depth, but still, allows normal shoe design. Julia is an overall voluminous last which makes it ideal for treatment purposes. The Julia last is an M width.

Kim Extra

The Kim Extra last is a more narrow rehabilitation last than other Klaveness unisex lasts. Klaveness uses this last for sandals and shoes. Kim Extra last is an M width.

Lena

Lena is one of our most feminine and refined last. The toe has a narrower design than on our other lasts, yet has good volume. This last is mostly used for pumps or heel shoes.

Lisa

Lisa is an important last of Klaveness collection and is ideally suited for wider shoes. Lisa has especially good fit, with a toe box that delivers plenty toe space and a roomier forepart. The heel is also anatomic-shaped, which gives a good heel grip without feeling too tight. This last gives a heel height of 15 mm.

Lisa Extra

Lisa Extra is equal to Lisa last but has extra volume for foot orthotics. The Lisa last is one of Klaveness most popular lasts. Foot formed toe part provides room for the toes and offers good comfort. Lisa Extra is used for sandals, shoes and boots. The last is offered in 3 widths in FIA. Lisa Extra is a K width.

Liz

Liz is our narrowest and most feminine last. It is mainly used for pumps and ballerina models. This last has a good toe height and, consequently, room for toes. If our Lena last is too wide and voluminous, this last can be an option. Liz last has been a part of Klaveness collection for many years, but is still relevant and very popular.

Maria

Maria is a newly developed last, specifically made for sandals with removable footbeds. It is designed to fit the foot shape perfectly and is generous in width and volume.

Medic

Medic is a large volume unisex last for treatment purpose. The last is suitable for making boots and shoes. Medic is an S width.

Mette

Mette is a last that has existed in the Klaveness collection for a long time. It has a good volume and shapes fine boots.

Mette Extra

Mette Extra is a last for narrow feet, nevertheless, it can still accommodate foot orthotics. Mette Extra is an H width.

Nåbling

Nåbling is a last with a lot of history in the Nordic countries. Nåbling is the most sold last in the Klaveness Rehabilitation range, and it is used for rehabilitation boots, shoes and sandals. The last has a fairly high toe spring that provides a good rocker effect and has a flat metatarsal area to reduce pressure at metatarsal joints. Nåbling is an S width.

Naturform

Naturform is a Norwegian word meaning "natural shape". This last is ideal for patients who require a wide and functional last. Suitable for diabetics and rheumatics. Naturform is a foot formed unisex last for shoes and sandals. Naturform is an L width.

Nemo TN2 (Narrow) - Boot

Nemo is an anatomical last with a straight 1st toe and an anatomically shaped ankle form, suitable to accommodate higher heel stiffeners without causing pressure to the ankle area. Its bottom surface is horizontally flat - so joints can rest with even pressure distribution inside the made footwear. This last has a low heel height and a moderate toe spring to ensure an effortless stride with a more rigid sole as with a flexible sole selection. The measurements of this last are the smallest of Klaveness children lasts.

Nemo TN4 (Standard) - Boot

Nemo Wide is an anatomical last with a straight 1st toe and an anatomically shaped ankle form, suitable to accommodate higher heel stiffeners without causing pressure to the ankle area. Its bottom surface is horizontally flat - so joints can rest with even pressure distribution inside the made footwear. This last has a low heel height and a moderate toe spring to ensure an effortless stride with a more rigid sole and flexible sole selection. Nemo Wide is a broader width option to Nemo, with significant differences is in the heel area, midfoot and depth.

Nemo TN8 (Orthotic) - Boot

Nemo is an anatomical last with a straight 1st toe and an anatomically shaped ankle form, suitable to accommodate higher heel stiffeners without causing pressure to the ankle area. Its bottom surface is horizontally flat - so joints can rest with even pressure distribution inside the made footwear. This last has a low heel height and a moderate toe spring to ensure an effortless stride with a more rigid sole as with a flexible sole selection. Compared to Nemo TN6 (Wide), the most significant difference is in the depth and wider rearfoot to ensure a perfect fit to orthotics used together with the footwear made to this last. The internal surface is flat and compatible with other NEMO family lasts.

New Rehab

New Rehab is a unisex last for rehabilitation shoes, boots and sandals, and is ideal for patients who require a wide and functional last. The last has a wide foot formed toe part and a narrow heel. It belongs to the same family as Footform last but has extra volume for treatment purposes. When compared to Footform, the difference in ball circumference is 20mm and 10mm volume/depth. Suitable for diabetics and rheumatics.

Ortho

Ortho is a classic women's last for shoes and boots and one of the most popular lasts in Klaveness MSS. Ortho has a wide ball area and a toe shape that allows us to make commercial designs. In FIA, Ortho is available in 3 different widths and one special version with standard width and narrow heel. Ortho is an L width.

Ortho Narrow

Ortho Narrow is a classic women's last for shoes and boots and one of the most popular lasts in Klaveness. Ortho Narrow is an H width.

Ortho Wide

Ortho Wide is a classic women's last for shoes and boots and one of the most popular lasts in Klaveness. Ortho Narrow is an O width.

Pacer

Pacer last is based on our Tracer last but with a different fit of the heel, adapted to the normal width foot.

Racer

Racer is Klaveness sporty children's last. The shape of the last makes it an ideal choice for producing sneakers, shoes and boots. Racer is a J width - the smallest width we offer in children's lasts.

Rudi

With a classic last design, Rudi has an elegant toebox and is spacious for replacement insoles. Its tight grip in the ankle and instep secures the fit to produce footwear that has volume for the ball and toes and to accommodate more normal-sized ankle. Heel height and toe spring are moderate.

Sandy

Sandy is a last that provides a very stable and comfortable walking and a good volume.

Sara

Sara was explicitly designed for making sneakers. The last is perfect for feet that need extra width and volume. Nevertheless, it delivers a firm fit around the heel and ankle. Sara has a low heel height, specially adapted for active users.

Sisu

Sisu is a very stable last with a good rocker performance. It provides good volume sandals and shoes. It is recommended to diabetic and rheumatic feet.

Sporty

Sporty is a last specially designed for making sneakers. The last is perfect for feet that needs extra width and volume. It`s a volumious last but still gives a firm fit around the ankle and heal. Sporty is a K width.

Thea

Thea is a relatively new developed last. It looks very much like the Lisa last in character, with a wide and rounded forepart profile. Thea is rich in volume and is ideal for comfortable sandals.

Thom

Thom is a classic men's last that is suitable for stylish and elegant shoes and boots. Designed with a larger toebox (when compared with other commercial lasts), it allows the first toe to relax in a natural position inside the footwear.

Thor

Thor is a classic men's last for shoes and boots, and one of the most popular lasts in Klaveness. In FIA, Thor is available in 3 different widths and one special version with standard width and narrow heel.

Thore is an exceptionally wide last. This is a very comfortable last that is very suitable for making shoes and sandals for men.

Tohveli

The Tohveli last is designed for unisex indoor slippers which is protecting diabetic feet. The last is foot shaped, it has a generous toe box and extra volume for foot orthotics. Tohveli is an M width.

Tracer

The tracer last is designed for children's sandals and has extra depth for foot orthotics. The foot formed toe part makes it comfortable to wear. The last matches to Traces Orthotic last. Tracer is a J width.

Tracer Orthotic

The Tracer Orthotics last is an orthotic version of Tracer last and is used for making sandals. It is similar to the standard Tracer, however, the short heel and the instep have been increased to have the room for orthotics. The heel and bottom shape is also straighter on this last. Tracer Orthotic is an L width last.
